Student privacy notice

Controller. Sportas ir psichologija MB (company code 307120585, Kukučių g. 41, LT-51338 Kaunas, Lithuania), operating as the Baltic Institute of Resilience (BIR). Privacy contact: privacy@balticresilience.eu.

1. What we process and why

  • Account and enrolment data — name, email, country, time zone, cohort, courses, role. Basis: performance of the study contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Assessment records — assignments, recorded practices, practicum log, case portfolio, grades, tutor feedback, examination outcome. Basis: the study contract and our legitimate interest in being able to verify certificates we have issued (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Platform logs — logins, pages viewed, activity completion, IP address. Basis: legitimate interest in security and in supporting your progress; retained 12 months.
  • Live sessions — tutorials, labs and supervisions may be recorded for students who could not attend. Recordings are kept inside the study environment and deleted at the end of the cohort.
  • Communications — email notifications from the platform and messages with your tutor and support@balticresilience.eu.

2. Recorded practice submissions

In Phase 2 you record yourself leading a practice with another student. Both students in a recording are enrolled and have accepted this notice. Recordings are used only for assessment and feedback, are visible only to you, your tutor and the Academic Lead, and are deleted twelve months after your cohort's graduation. You may not share a recording that includes another student outside the platform.

3. What must never be entered on the platform

No information about practicum participants or clients — no names, contact details, health information or anything that could identify a person — may be entered anywhere in the study environment. The practicum log records hours, context and your reflection only. This rule protects third parties and is a condition of the Study Rules.

4. Processors and location

The study environment and its backups are hosted on servers in the European Union. Email notifications are sent through an EU-based email service provider; live sessions use a video conferencing provider configured for EU data residency. Our platform support contractors work only on a test environment with synthetic data; any temporary access to live data is logged and covered by standard contractual clauses. The current list of processors is available from privacy@balticresilience.eu.

5. Retention

  • Assessment records and grades: 10 years after graduation, so that your certificate can be verified.
  • Assignment files and recordings: 12 months after graduation, then deleted.
  • Platform logs: 12 months. Backups: 60 days.
  • Account data of students who withdraw: deleted 12 months after withdrawal, except grades for completed courses.

6. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure (subject to the retention we need for certificate verification), restriction, objection and portability, and you may complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (vdai.lrv.lt). The study environment offers a data export and a deletion request under your profile; requests are answered within 30 days.

7. Wellbeing and safeguarding

If a tutor has a concern about your wellbeing during the programme, it is raised with the Academic Lead and, where needed, our clinical adviser — never recorded in course notes or grades. We will always speak to you first unless there is an immediate risk.

Version 1.0. Changes will be dated and shown here; material changes require your renewed agreement.

Study rules and ethical code — Certified Burnout Prevention and Recovery Practitioner programme

1. What the programme is

A twelve-month non-formal practitioner programme delivered by the Baltic Institute of Resilience (BIR). On successful completion BIR awards the certificate Certified Burnout Prevention and Recovery Practitioner (CBPRP). The certificate is certified by BIR; it is not a state qualification and confers no licensed or regulated professional status.

2. Scope statement

You agree to work, during the programme and afterwards when using the CBPRP title, within this scope:

The Certified Burnout Prevention and Recovery Practitioner works in prevention, recovery and resilience with people who do not have a clinical diagnosis, or alongside clinical care with the person's consent. The practitioner does not diagnose or treat, and refers to medical or psychological care whenever indicators of a clinical condition or risk are present.

You will not describe yourself or your practice using the words therapy, therapist, counsellor, counselling, psychologist or clinical, and you will not claim that any method cures, heals or treats a condition.

3. The boundary comes first

You may not lead any practice with another person, inside or outside the programme, before you have passed the red-flag protocol check in course P2. If, at any point, a participant shows indicators listed in the referral protocol, you stop, refer, and inform your tutor through the escalation route — never by recording details on the platform.

4. Practice participants and client information

Phase 2 practice is with fellow students only. Phase 3 practicum participants are adults without a clinical diagnosis, recruited by you using the BIR consent form. No names, contact details, health information or other identifying details of any participant or client may be entered anywhere in the study environment. Breach of this rule is treated as serious misconduct.

5. Personal practice

Daily personal practice is part of the programme from the first week. You keep the personal practice log honestly; it is reviewed for engagement, not graded for performance.

6. Assessment

  • Deadlines are stated in Europe/Vilnius time. The due date is also the cut-off date. Extensions are granted only in advance, by your tutor, for documented reasons.
  • Each assignment has one attempt. Written feedback accompanies every mark.
  • Recorded practice submissions must be your own leading, unedited, with a fellow student who has consented.
  • The observed practical examination at Residency 2 is pass or fail with written feedback; one resit is offered within six months.

7. Academic integrity and AI

Submitted work must be your own. You may use AI tools for research, outlining and language polishing; you may not submit text or analysis generated for you as if it were your own thinking. Every written assignment includes a short declaration of how AI was used. Tutors may invite you to discuss any submission live. Plagiarism or undeclared AI generation leads to a fail for that assignment; a second case ends your enrolment.

8. Live sessions and residencies

Live labs, tutorials and supervisions are part of the course; attendance is recorded. Sessions may be recorded for absent students. Both one-week residencies in Kaunas are compulsory; travel, accommodation and any visa costs are yours, and BIR provides the documents required for a short study visit. The residencies are study visits within an online programme, not a route to relocation.

9. Conduct

You treat fellow students, participants, tutors and staff with respect; discriminatory, harassing or demeaning behaviour, in any channel, is grounds for removal. Concerns about anyone's wellbeing go to the Academic Lead, who may consult the clinical adviser.

10. Fees and withdrawal

Fees are payable according to the instalment schedule in your offer. If you withdraw within 14 days of enrolment, before any live session or assessment, fees paid are refunded less the admission fee. After that, instalments already due remain payable; future instalments are waived from the next phase boundary. Fees are never refunded for a fail.

11. Certificate and title

The certificate is issued on completion of all assessment with a public verification code. You may use the post-nominal CBPRP and describe yourself as a Certified Burnout Prevention and Recovery Practitioner certified by the Baltic Institute of Resilience. BIR may withdraw the certificate for serious breach of the scope statement or ethical code, after hearing you.

12. Changes

These rules may be updated; changes are dated here and material changes require your renewed agreement. Disputes are governed by Lithuanian law; consumers retain the protections of their country of residence.
